Chum Of Ex-Orioles Player Dodges Insider Trading Charges

Law360, New York (May 3, 2013, 6:53 PM EDT) -- California federal prosecutors have dropped their federal insider trading indictment against a man accused with three others, including former Baltimore Orioles third baseman Doug DeCinces, of insider trading on information about Abbott Laboratories' takeover of a medical device company. 

U.S. District Judge Andrew J. Guilford approved the discharge of the indictment against Roger Wittenbach of Lutherville-Timonium, Md., in an order Wednesday. Prosecutors sought the dismissal on April 25 without explaining the reason behind the request.
