Chevron Class Can Seek New Judge In Suit Over Refinery Fire

Law360, New York (May 7, 2013, 5:04 PM EDT) -- Thousands of California residents suing Chevron Corp. over hazardous chemicals allegedly released during an August refinery explosion can seek a different judge to preside over their putative class action, a state appeals court said Monday, overturning a lower court's rejection of their challenge as untimely.
