Samsung Seeks Confidential Docs In Apple Patent Brawl

Law360, New York (May 8, 2013, 11:11 PM EDT) -- Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. on Wednesday launched another salvo in its patent dispute with Apple Inc., demanding confidential documents from an International Trade Commission investigation and from a similar dispute in which Internet security company VirnetX Inc. won a $368 million award against Apple.

In a motion to compel filed in California federal court, Samsung claimed it was seeking the documents to unearth the testimony of Apple witnesses in related disputes, including the VirnetX suit, in which the same Apple FaceTime video-chatting feature was at issue. ...
