Qualcomm Sues Nokia Amid Antitrust Allegations

Law360, New York (November 7, 2005, 12:00 AM EST) -- Qualcomm Inc. is firing back at Finnish cell phone maker Nokia Corp., filing a federal patent infringement lawsuit over its GSM technology only two weeks after Nokia accused Qualcomm of anti-trust violations in Europe.

San Diego-based Qualcomm sued Nokia Friday, alleging breach of contract and infringement of 12 patents for transmitting, receiving and processing wireless signals, and other features of its Global System for Mobile Communications (GSM).
