Microsoft Wins Xbox Patent Battle At ITC With Motorola

Law360, Los Angeles (May 23, 2013, 7:26 PM EDT) -- The U.S. International Trade Commission ruled Thursday that Microsoft Corp. didn't infringe a patent owned by Google Inc. subsidiary Motorola Mobility when it manufactured the popular video gaming brand Xbox.

In a four-page decision signed by Acting Secretary Lisa R. Barton, the ITC declined to review an administrative law judge's ruling that Motorola waived its indirect infringement argument against Microsoft and that it also failed to establish a case of indirect infringement on the merits.
