Wells Fargo Sheds Insurance Bid-Rigging Claims In MDL

Law360, New York (May 30, 2013, 4:31 PM EDT) -- Wells Fargo & Co. on Wednesday was released from claims that it engaged in bid-rigging in the commercial insurance market after agreeing to a dismissal with several plaintiffs in multidistrict antitrust litigation in New Jersey federal court.

U.S. District Judge Claire C. Cecchi signed off on a stipulation of dismissal that clears Wells Fargo and its Wells Fargo Insurance Services USA Inc. unit of antitrust claims brought against it by a set of nine plaintiffs, including Opticare Health Systems Inc., Sunburst Hospitality Corp., Bayou Steel Corp....
