DirecTV Technicians' Unpaid Fees Suit Sent To Arbitration

Law360, Philadelphia (June 3, 2013, 6:15 PM EDT) -- A Pennsylvania federal judge on Friday agreed to dismiss and send to arbitration a putative class action alleging that construction giant MasTec Inc. breached a contract to pay installation fees to DirecTV service technicians.

U.S. District Judge Malachy Mannion signed an order dismissing the case after plaintiff Michael Rudick on Thursday agreed that his claims in the case were subject to an arbitration agreement with MasTec.

An attorney for Rudick did not immediately respond to a request for comment Monday.
