Old Republic Title Co. To Pay $12M To Settle Wage Suit

Law360, New York (June 5, 2013, 8:24 PM EDT) -- The Old Republic Title Co. and two of its affiliates agreed to pay $12 million to settle a proposed class action on behalf of about 1,100 employees who accused the companies of breaking "an array" of wage and hour laws, according to a motion filed Tuesday in California federal court.

The proposed settlement will be divided among all Golden State employees of Old Republic, North State Title Co. and Mara Escrow Co. who worked as escrow officers, escrow assistants or in similar positions since Jan. 7, 2007.
