Oracle Adds Gov't Contract Policies To End Investor Suits

Law360, Chicago (June 7, 2013, 3:35 PM EDT) -- Oracle Corp. has reached a deal to end two shareholder derivative suits by installing new policies aimed at ensuring compliance with government contracting laws and regulations, according to documents filed in California federal court Thursday.

In a motion seeking preliminary approval of the settlement, attorneys for the shareholders said the company has agreed to “robust internal controls” that will prevent future violations of the False Claims Act and U.S. General Services Administration pricing regulations.
