Air New Zealand Pays $6M Fine To Close Price-Fixing Probe

Law360, New York (June 13, 2013, 4:50 PM EDT) -- A New Zealand court signed off Thursday on a NZ$7.5 million (US$6 million) price-fixing penalty for Air New Zealand Ltd., marking the end of the Commerce Commission's long-running probe into the air cargo industry.

The New Zealand High Court cleared Air New Zealand's settlement, bringing the total penalties the government has won in the case to $42.5 million, the commission said.
