Pa. McDonald's Hit With Class Action Over Debit Card Wages

Law360, Philadelphia (June 18, 2013, 5:41 PM EDT) -- A Pennsylvania woman hit a McDonald’s franchisee with a putative class action in state court on Thursday, alleging that the employer violated state laws by paying employees solely via debit cards.

Natalie Gunshannon contends that the franchisee’s move to pay her and other hourly employees via JP Morgan Chase Payroll Cards runs afoul of the state’s Wage Payment and Collection Act.
