Saudi Prince Wins Damages For Failed Movie Deal, Stolen Car

Law360, Los Angeles (June 21, 2013, 4:20 PM EDT) -- A Los Angeles jury Friday awarded Saudi Prince Faisal Al Saud $520,000 in his lawsuit alleging film producer Steven Saxton breached a contract related to their failed movie business venture and stole the prince’s Maserati sports car.

After less than one day of deliberations, a seven-man, five-woman jury awarded the prince $390,000 on the breach of contract claim, $110,000 for the fair market value of the car and an additional $20,000 as reasonable compensation for Faisal’s attempts to recover the vehicle.
