SF Giants Settle Security Guards' Wages Action

Law360, San Francisco (June 24, 2013, 3:44 PM EDT) -- The San Francisco Giants won final approval Monday from a California judge for a $500,000 deal to settle claims that the team didn't pay security guards overtime wages, compensate them for missed breaks or properly issue final paychecks when they left.

San Francisco Superior Court Judge John Munter found the settlement between the World Series champion and 171 security employees, led by plaintiffs Mary Russi and Chris Parker, fair and adequate. None of the potential class members objected to the deal, attorneys for the parties said Monday....
