High Court Wetlands Ruling Could Force Permitting Delays

Law360, Miami (June 25, 2013, 11:26 AM EDT) -- The U.S. Supreme Court's Tuesday ruling that a denial of a development permit could be considered a taking of the landowner's property has encouraged property owners nationwide, but experts say it could have the unintended effect of slowing down the permitting process by forcing governmental entities to be overly cautious.
