GoDaddy Denied Safe Harbor In Oscars Cybersquatting Suit

Law360, Los Angeles (June 26, 2013, 3:50 PM EDT) -- A California federal judge refused to toss a cybersquatting lawsuit brought by Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences against GoDaddy.com Inc. for allegedly allowing users to profit from Oscars-related domain names, finding last week that GoDaddy doesn't qualify for safe harbor protection under the Anti-Cybersquatting Protection Act.
