NFL, Players Must Mediate Concussion MDL, Judge Rules

Law360, Philadelphia (July 8, 2013, 4:41 PM EDT) -- A Pennsylvania federal judge on Monday ordered the National Football League and a set of former players who contend that the league was responsible for their head injuries into mediation in an attempt to resolve the multidistrict litigation.

U.S. District Judge Anita Brody appointed former U.S. District Judge Layn Philips to serve as the mediator, following a telephone conference with lead counsel for both parties earlier in the day.
