Defamation Suit Against Houston TV Station Nixed On Appeal

Law360, Houston (July 11, 2013, 4:30 PM EDT) -- A Texas appeals court on Thursday said a former charter school superintendent's defamation suit against a Houston television news station over a broadcast that allegedly implied she embezzled $3 million lacked sufficient proof and should be dismissed under the state’s anti-SLAPP statute.
