BP's Deepwater Medical Benefits Deal Unfair, 5th Circ. Hears

Law360, New York (July 12, 2013, 2:07 PM EDT) -- A handful of objectors to a deal worth at least $130 million that BP PLC struck to resolve chemical exposure claims stemming from the Deepwater Horizon disaster told the Fifth Circuit on Thursday that a lower court disregarded U.S. Supreme Court jurisprudence when it certified the settlement class.
