$1.45B Funneled Into Ill. High-Speed Rail Project

Law360, New York (July 23, 2013, 6:57 PM EDT) -- Contracts totaling $1.45 billion have been awarded so far for a high-speed rail project being spearheaded by the Illinois Department of Transportation, in partnership with Union Pacific Corp. and Amtrak, getting it closer to being fully operational, according to a Monday report.
