Approval Unlikely For Google-Yahoo Pact: Experts

Law360, New York (February 4, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- While a Microsoft Corp. acquisition of Yahoo Inc. could pass muster with regulatory officials, a deal involving Google Inc. and Yahoo has a greater chance of getting shot down because of Google's dominance in the Internet search and online advertising markets, antitrust experts said on Monday.

Google has reportedly offered to enter into a business alliance with Yahoo in order to fend off Microsoft Corp.'s $44.6 billion hostile bid for the Sunnyvale, Calif.-based company.
