9th Circ. Refuses Rehearing In Edison Pension Plan Suit
Law360, New York (August 1, 2013, 7:29 PM EDT) -- The Ninth Circuit rejected a rehearing bid Thursday from workers who brought a $373 million class action against Edison International over allegedly imprudent management of their pension plan, amending its ruling but leaving intact a decision that tossed most of the plaintiffs' claims.
The appeals court denied the plan particpants' April 4 bid for rehearing or rehearing en banc, making some changes to the panel ruling issued in March but still affirming a July 2009 district court decision that granted utility giant Edison summary judgment on virtually all claims.
