9th Circ. Nixes Vectren's $1.9M Win In Telecom Contract Suit

Law360, Los Angeles (August 2, 2013, 11:06 PM EDT) -- The Ninth Circuit on Friday reversed a $1.9 million award to Vectren Communications Services Inc. in its breach of contract dispute with the city of Alameda over the installation of a telecommunications system, saying Vectren failed to present the relevant claim before litigation as required by the California Government Claims Act.
