Texas City Blocking Hispanic Mall, Developer Claims

Law360, Dallas (August 5, 2013, 7:04 PM EDT) -- A developer sued the city of Arlington, Texas, in federal court Wednesday, claiming city planners are blocking him from revitalizing a once-popular mall because of his plans to focus on Hispanic customers.

George L. Harris says in the suit that his company Dominican Management LLC bought the Six Flags Mall in November for $5 million, with the understanding that city staff were on board with his plans to renovate the mall.
