AMR's Unsecured Creditors Urge Judge To OK Ch. 11 Plan

Law360, New York (August 8, 2013, 7:15 PM EDT) -- Creditors of AMR Corp. on Thursday threw their support behind the airline’s reorganization plan, which hinges on an $11 billion merger with US Airways Group Inc., saying it resolves complex issues and provides substantial benefits for creditors and existing shareholders.

The official committee of unsecured creditors said in a court filing that U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Sean H. Lane should overrule the objections to the plan, which have come from U.S. Trustee Tracy Hope Davis, Cantor Fitzgerald & Co. and the U.S. Airline Pilots Association, among others....
