Consumer Law Claims Over Hess Oil Seem Shaky, Judge Says

Law360, New York (August 15, 2013, 3:52 PM EDT) -- A New York state judge expressed skepticism during a hearing Thursday toward whether The Related Cos. and a prominent developer could use state consumer protection laws to sue Hess Corp. as a class for allegedly delivering tainted heating oil to their New York City buildings.
