Army National Guard Recruiters Charged In Fraud Scheme

Law360, New York (August 19, 2013, 1:53 PM EDT) -- Four additional recruiters and soldiers of the U.S. Army National Guard fraudulently used the Social Security numbers of potential recruits to illegally obtain referral bonus payments, according to an indictment unsealed Friday by a Texas federal judge.

Recruiters Michael Rambaran, Edia Antoine, Ernest Millien III and Christopher Renfro are the latest in a string of 14 members of the National Guard charged in the alleged recruitment referral bonus scheme. The four are charged with 24 counts of conspiracy, bribery, wire fraud and aggravated identity theft....
