NYC Caused $10M In Cost Overruns, Electrical Contractor Says

Law360, New York (August 19, 2013, 6:31 PM EDT) -- New York City mismanaged a contract for electrical work on city pumping stations so badly that the contractor had to spend an extra $10 million to finish the work, the company said in a lawsuit filed Sunday.

Five Star Electric Corp., which is owned by Tutor Perini Corp.'s Greenstar Services Corp.,accused the city's Department of Environmental Protection of mismanaging a $23.78 million contract to upgrade equipment on the city's pumping stations, delaying work by more than a year and forcing the company to incur $9.7 million...
