Rihanna Wins Sanction On Inspector In Water Damage Suit
Law360, Los Angeles (August 20, 2013, 5:58 PM EDT) -- A California state judge Tuesday handed down a $3,000 suspended sanction against LaRocca Inspection Associates Inc. for failing to timely respond to interrogatories of singer Rihanna, who is suing the former owners of her $7 million mansion for allegedly concealing structural defects that contributed to significant water damage.
At a hearing, Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Yvette M. Palazuelos ruled that LaRocca's noncompliance with California's discovery laws merited the sanction, but she suspended it indefinitely pending any further "disputes without justification."
