Tutor-Led Venture Wins $1B Contract For Calif. Rail Project

Law360, New York (August 20, 2013, 5:49 PM EDT) -- A consortium led by California construction company Tutor Perini Corp. has won a $985 million contract from the California High-Speed Rail Authority to build the initial stretch of the state's planned $68 billion high-speed rail line, Tutor Perini said Tuesday.

Tutor, fellow California contractor Parsons Corp. and Texas-based Zachry Construction Corp. will construct the initial segment of the massive rail project, a roughly 25-mile stretch between Fresno and Madera in central California.
