Thomson Reuters Slams Whistleblower's Retaliation Suit

Law360, New York (August 23, 2013, 5:28 PM EDT) -- Thomson Reuters Corp. on Friday blasted claims that it fired an employee for leaking to the FBI suspected insider trading violations, urging a New York federal judge to toss the former salesman's suit for failing to qualify as a whistleblower action under the Dodd-Frank Act.

The suit brought by Mark Rosenblum in April is riddled with flaws, the most fatal of which is failing to show that the Dodd-Frank Act applies in the case, according to Reuter's motion to dismiss.
