Food Co. Wins Judge's OK For Wage-And-Hour Class Deal

Law360, New York (August 27, 2013, 3:55 PM EDT) -- A California federal judge signed off Monday on food services company Centerplate Inc.'s deal to dish out $650,000 to a class of workers alleging the company violated state labor laws when it failed to provide employee breaks, reimburse uniform costs, and pay proper wages.

Judge Marilyn L. Huff gave final approval to the deal, ending a suit by California-based concession workers claiming Centerplate cheated employees at locations such as Qualcomm Stadium and the San Diego Convention Center in violation of California's Private Attorney General Act....
