TripAdvisor's 'Dirtiest Hotels' List Is Protected: 6th Circ.

Law360, Los Angeles (August 28, 2013, 3:33 PM EDT) -- The Sixth Circuit on Wednesday affirmed the dismissal of a hotel proprietor's defamation and false light suit against travel website TripAdvisor LLC over its inclusion of the hotel on its "Dirtiest Hotels in America" list, saying TripAdvisor's rankings are based on users' subjective opinions and are therefore not actionable.
