Ex-NFLer Sues League Over Head Injuries

Law360, New York (August 28, 2013, 7:06 PM EDT) -- A former Atlanta Falcon sued the National Football League in New York federal court on Wednesday over head injuries he suffered during his recent playing career, adding to a raft of concussion-related lawsuits the league currently faces.

Chauncey Davis, a former Falcon who also played for the Chicago Bears, said the NFL encouraged players to re-enter the game after concussions and failed to warn that head injuries could lead to long-term brain damage.
