LA Concealed Fault Line Info For $664M Project, Suit Says

Law360, New York (August 29, 2013, 3:42 PM EDT) -- Several community groups sued the city of Los Angeles, officials and the developer of a $664 million project Wednesday in California state court, alleging the parties covered up information about an earthquake fault line that makes the hotel, residential, retail and office project unsafe.

The groups contend that the developer’s geologists, along with Los Angeles' city planning staff and the Department of Building and Safety, conspired to hide information showing that an active earthquake fault lies below the massive project's site, according to a statement. The...
