Law360, San Francisco (August 30, 2013, 5:32 PM EDT) -- A California federal judge Friday ordered Amazon Inc. to cooperate with limited depositions in sprawling multidistrict litigation over alleged price-fixing of optical disk drives by electronics manufacturers, but called Samsung Electronics Co.'s subpoena “insane” and overbroad considering the online retailer isn't a party in the case.
U.S. District Court Judge Joseph Spero said defendant Samsung's argument that Amazon should be deposed was reasonable, although he ordered the parties to narrow the inquiry before proceeding with an interview.
