Big Ten Football Referee Sues Conference Over Firing

Law360, Los Angeles (September 3, 2013, 5:43 PM EDT) -- A football referee on Friday sued the Big Ten Conference Inc., conference officials and the organizers of a San Diego bowl game for defamation and breach of contract in Illinois state court, saying he was improperly terminated by the conference after he was accused of violating rules for reimbursement of travel expenses.
