USTelecom Asks 2nd Circ. To Rehear IRS-WorldCom Tax Row

Law360, Los Angeles (September 5, 2013, 6:41 PM EDT) -- The United States Telecom Association on Thursday filed a brief with the Second Circuit supporting WorldCom Inc.'s petition for a rehearing of the appellate court's decision that WorldCom is liable for millions in excise taxes on its dial-up Internet systems, saying the ruling could lead to confusion about the applicability of the excise tax.
