Fluor Prevails In Venue Row Over Afghanistan Contracts

Law360, New York (September 6, 2013, 8:41 PM EDT) -- Defense contractor Fluor Intercontinental Inc. won a forum dispute Friday in a contract suit accusing Fluor of backing out on a security firm's offer to lower its rates in exchange for increased business.

A California state appeals court Friday affirmed a lower court’s opinion that South Carolina, and not California, would be the appropriate venue for the suit.
