Judge Pares $3M Suit Over Raytheon Aircraft Subcontract

Law360, Los Angeles (September 9, 2013, 9:14 PM EDT) -- A California federal judge on Monday trimmed L'Garde Inc.'s $2.7 million lawsuit against Raytheon Space & Airborne Systems over claims Raytheon breached a lucrative subcontract for the development of an advanced military airship.

U.S. District Judge George Wu partially granted Raytheon's motion for summary judgment on L'Garde's breach of contract and fraud claims, saying L'Garde's allegations are largely unsupported by the unambiguous language of its subcontract with Raytheon. The subcontract did not guarantee Raytheon would retain L'Garde's services throughout both the design and fabrication phases of the project, Judge Wu wrote.
