Promoter Hit With Refund Suit Following Concert Deaths

Law360, New York (September 10, 2013, 3:18 PM EDT) -- The organizer of the music festival Electric Zoo was hit with a proposed class action in New York state court on Friday for allegedly failing to refund a ticket holder for the event’s last day, which was canceled due to two possibly drug-related deaths.

Concertgoer Irene Manolias sued the festival’s organizers, Made Event LLC, in the Supreme Court of New York County on behalf of attendees who purchased a ticket for the final day of the three-day music festival, but have yet to receive a refund....
