Judge Slashes Fresno's MTBE Contamination Suit

Law360, New York (September 10, 2013, 7:44 PM EDT) -- A New York federal judge on Tuesday gutted a lawsuit brought by Fresno, Calif., against a host of gasoline companies, including Exxon Mobil Corp. and Shell Oil Co., over groundwater contamination from the additive methyl tertiary butyl ether, saying some claims are time-barred and others don’t pass legal muster.
