Tenants Can Proceed As Class In Rent Dispute, Judge Says

By Eric Hornbeck (September 11, 2013, 4:44 PM EDT) -- Tenants in a Manhattan apartment building can sue their landlord as a class over allegedly illegal rent hikes related to a tax abatement program, a New York state judge ruled Tuesday, but said the landlord can't in turn sue the state agency that interprets rent rules.
