Judge Invalidates SUNY's Latest LICH-Closure Proposal

Law360, New York (September 13, 2013, 4:00 PM EDT) -- A New York state judge has invalidated the State University of New York – Downstate's plan to close Long Island College Hospital, contract with a new operator for a smaller facility and possibly sell other LICH real estate assets, ruling Thursday that state officials violated rules requiring 90 days' notice of a closure plan.
