Austin Sued In $300M JW Marriott Project Wage Fight

Law360, New York (September 19, 2013, 8:01 PM EDT) -- The city of Austin, Texas, was hit with a lawsuit Tuesday by the developer of the $300 million downtown JW Marriott convention hotel project amid a long-running dispute over the city's decision to revoke a $3.8 million fee break after the developer's wage dispute with construction workers. 

In a complaint filed in Texas federal court, White Lodging Services Corp. reiterated its argument of the past few months that the City of Austin does not have any prevailing wage rules that apply to its privately funded project to which the developer needs to stick.
