TV Chef Conant Says Partners Cut Him From Dining Empire

Law360, New York (September 20, 2013, 8:32 PM EDT) -- Food Network stalwart Scott Conant has sued his business partners including his co-manager Curt Huegel, claiming they breached an operating contract when they opened a raft of new restaurants and cut the chef-turned-plaintiff out of more than $24 million, according to papers filed Thursday.

Huegel — who co-manages Conant's management company Scott Conant Management LLC — Jonathan Meadow, Richard Weisfisch and Antonello Paganuzzi all are named as defendants in the lawsuit brought derivatively on behalf of restaurant operating concern Scarpetta Inc. in which Conant's management concern is the majority shareholder.
