Law360, Los Angeles (September 24, 2013, 7:25 PM EDT) -- A California federal judge has certified a class of indirect purchasers of cathode ray tube products in a suit accusing electronics manufacturers of price-fixing, finding that an expert's report supported their contention that the scheme injured all class members, according to an order filed Tuesday.
The indirect purchasers have sufficiently backed their claim that direct buyers of CRT products burdened indirect purchasers with the manufacturers' inflated prices, thus satisfying the predominance requirement needed for class certification, the order said.
