Harlem Globetrotters Sold To Dollywood Owners

Law360, New York (October 1, 2013, 3:55 PM EDT) -- Shamrock Capital Advisors, a California-based private equity firm founded by the Disney family, said Tuesday it has sold the Harlem Globetrotters to Herschend Family Entertainment Corp., the owners of Dollywood and two dozen other themed attractions.

Terms of the deal weren’t disclosed, though media reports when the company went up for sale earlier this year said it was expected to fetch between $50 and $100 million. Herschend said the company’s management and current roster won’t change.
