Apartment-Sharing Victory For Airbnb In NYC? Not So Fast

Law360, New York (October 2, 2013, 6:31 PM EDT) -- A recent New York City Environmental Control Board decision allowing short-term room rentals while a permanent occupant is present had room-sharing company Airbnb Inc. calling a victory for all its rentals in the city, but legal experts say plenty of hurdles remain to the business model, especially since spaces usually are advertised as vacant.
