La. Says Policy Assignment Cases Belong in State Court

Law360, New York (October 4, 2013, 2:37 PM EDT) -- Louisiana urged the Fifth Circuit on Thursday to keep in state court its attempt to enforce assignments of homeowner claims stemming from Hurricanes Katrina and Rita against three American National Insurance Co. property insurers, saying individual suits severed from a onetime class action deserve remand.
