Freight Forwarders Fight To Jettison Price-Fixing MDL

Law360, New York (October 22, 2013, 7:29 PM EDT) -- United Parcel Service Inc., DHL Express (USA) Inc. and a slew of other freight forwarders on Monday pushed a New York federal court to dismiss much of an antitrust suit accusing them of conspiring to rig rates for their services.

Many of the 67 defendants in the putative class action raised objections to U.S. Magistrate Judge Viktor V. Pohorelsky's September report and recommendations saying the plaintiffs had largely addressed the original shortcomings the court identified in their antitrust claims by filing an amended complaint.
